Our Story

In early summer 2024, Sarah was flying home from Italy while Steph was in Los Angeles. Somewhere between time zones, continents, and a surprisingly effective dating app, they matched on Hinge.

What followed were conversations that picked up speed almost immediately, the kind where one question turns into ten, an hour somehow becomes three, and both people find themselves looking forward to hearing from someone they've never even met.

As they got to know each other, they began uncovering small and unexpected connections. They both grew up in LA, both were going out to the same bars and restaurants for years, and strangely both had cats named Lily! It made it feel as though their lives had been quietly crossing paths long before they officially met.

They met at Elephante in Santa Monica where they barely ate but the dinner lasted over 4 hours. Through learning about each other, belly laughs, and a healthy amount of tequila, (unbeknownst to them) their relationship started.

Almost as soon as things were beginning, though, they found themselves on opposite coasts for a week.

What could have felt like unfortunate timing became one of the most important parts of their story. Every night they FaceTimed. What started as checking in became hours-long conversations about family, childhood, work, dreams, fears, and all the experiences that shaped them into who they are. 

Once they were reunited, they virtually never left each other's side.

The years that followed were filled with adventures both near and far, from weekend trips up the California coast to wandering the streets of Italy together, sharing meals that lasted for hours, getting lost on purpose, and all of the ordinary moments in between.

For them falling in love felt like breathing, so natural you wouldn't know they hadn't been with each other their whole lives. It never felt strange for them to imagine a life and family together, it’s simply the obvious unfolding of their story.

On July 7, 2025, overlooking the California coastline in Malibu, Sarah asked Steph to marry her. Surrounded by music, sunshine, and more than a few happy tears, Steph said yes.

Now, they're excited to celebrate the next chapter of their lives surrounded by the people they love most.
